Problem:

This global client was not able to understand what marketing efforts will were being executed when, to whom and what the return of each activity was. As part of our discovery and stakeholder interviews, we discovered:

• 108 separate applications discovered, ranging from full enterprise solutions to ad hoc improvised reporting solutions

• 69 Single purpose tools including project management to MS Excel consumed 62% of all the time spent in applications (more than 500,000 hours a year)

• Many, many redundant processes across campaign in take to execution

• 18 months into planning and no clear road map forward

Solution:

Originally, we were contacted to integrate a couple of their systems but quickly identified that this was not a good use of their time and money due to the disparate data and improper implementation of the tools they currently had in place.

We then designed a strategy assessment & road map engagement that encompassed hundreds of interviews, stakeholder surveys and focus groups representing over 800 employees across their sales & marketing group.

Result:

In 4 months we were able to identify major gaps, and areas of opportunity that will be addressed in an 18 month road map including the people the processes and the platforms.

We are now leading the execution of the road map that will completely retool their marketing analytics, operations and optimization processes, people and platforms.
